We are staying in touch with Lyon this season because Remi Garde is now the manager there. And while doing this we’re having a look at Lorient as they have Joel Campbell playing.
To start with Joel he has played four times as a sub, and played in the 1-1 draw with Lille recently.
But back to Olympique Lyonnais. They are in a dead heat first place with PSG – the new super club of French football with their billions of Arab money. If you call the clubs by their full names PSG are top, but if you call Remi’s club Lyon, then they are top.

‘O’ comes before ‘P’. How has Joel Campbell been playing?
I dont have any info on his performance, but the fact that he is in the squad and getting on the pitch is telling given the totally different culture and language he is involved with. Wellington, we might note, who is also highly thought of by the club is not getting any time on the pitch at all.
I thought their name was L’Olympique Lyonnais anyhow. That puts them first 😉
