4 May 1994 – Arsenal won the EUFA Cup Winners Cup by beating Parma 1-0.
Parma were the defending champions having beaten Antwerp the previous season, and were trying to be the first team to retain the trophy.
The game was held at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, which had opened in 1992 with a crowd of 34,000. Alan Smith scored with a left footed volley.
The Italian team included Gianfranco Zola and Faustino Asprilla. Ian Wright missed the final through suspension.

Looking back to the journey to the CWC final, it all seems amazingly short and simple, compared with the Champions League these days where there might be a qualifying match, followed by six league games, before one gets to the knock out stages.
