So, here we are with the highlights of seven memorable games against Southampton
2 May 1992
20 March 1993 – Arsenal 4 Southampton 3
19 March 1994: Another Ian Wright hattrick
28 January 2017: Just two months after Southampton had knocked Arsenal out of the League Cup, Arsenal beat Southampton 0-5 away in the 4th round of the FA Cup on their way to their third FA Cup triumph in four years. It was one of two FA Cup matches this season in which Arsenal scored five goals.
10 May 2017: Southampton 0 Arsenal 2. This game came in a run in which Arsenal won nine of their last ten games of the season, concluding with a 2-1 FA Cup final win over Chelsea. This run contrasted with a run of six defeats in nine between the end of January and mid-March.
8 April 2018: After three straight defeats in February and March, Arsenal made it three straight wins with victories over Watford, Stoke and on this day Southampton. Arsenal then won three and lost three of the remaining six games.
